“The body is the physical aspect of the personality and movement is the personality made visible." writes Mary Starks Whitehouse, who developed a practice in the 50’ called “Authentic Movement”.
Looking through the lens of "self development" theories and practices, the movie The Visitants proposes the spectator to witness the inner journey of two performers, exposing an intimate experience (authentic movement) to the gaze of the audience and thus perverting the primary goal of the technic at hand by turning it into a performance technic.
In this movie, a therapeutic practice is transformed into a dance practice and ultimately put in relation with another body practice: Body Building…
The projection of the film is accompanied  by live action.The audience, after watching the film, is confronted with a group of body builders practicing Authentic Movement.
